Still here!

I'm still here. I haven't made any cards for a while. I have been working on my daughter's scrapbook that I promised her for college graduation a year ago. It seems once she made the announcement to me in January of 2009 that she planned on joining the Peace Corps, I couldn't work on the book. Well now that she is in Bulgaria, settled in with her new family, spending 4 - 6 hours a day learning their language and teaching English for the rest of the day, I seem to feel a little better about it. I still miss her!!! That won't change until I get to go visit next year! I finally got to talk to her last Sunday, gotta love technology! I got to see her face and hear her voice! She sent me some pictures of life there. I would love to sit and scrap all those new pictures! I have decided that for every 3 or 4 pages of her first book I will do 1 page for the new one! I need to learn how to take better photos! Sorry for the blinding flash! This was from the 8 hours waiting at JFK for the first flight to Germany. I am so glad she found her black and white cookie! I think it was the main reason she wanted to go back to New York! She was there a couple of years ago to take part in a mock U.N.
This is from her going away party. 4 generations! It is almost unheard of in Bulgaria to have a Great Grandmother.

These pictures are also from her going away party. She is with my youngest sister in the top photo. The bottom photo is my youngest sister again with her husband and her twin brother (sorry for flashing out your face Jeff), his wife and their daughter. Megan is the oldest granddaughter in the family and Emily is the youngest.
Thanks for looking. I will try harder at posting! Thanks for your patience!

What can I say?

So, I get a big fat F in the crafting department lately. I'm sitting here staring at all the projects I have started on my desk. Mr. Mojo is gone. I don't know where he went but I hope he returns soon! Maybe if I finish cleaning up in here, her will return? I'll have to give that a try! Have a great day and I hope to have something new to post soon.

Batter Ian

Fun! Fun! Fun! This one was fun to make! I cut the card out using my Pazzles cutter! The card base is cut from white cardstock and the stitching is cut from red cardstock and layered on. I love my Scotch Quick Dry Adhesive! The stamps are from The Greeting Farm. I colored using W1, C3, C5, R29, R59, Y38, E33, E37, B32, B24, R20, E00, and E11 Copics. I really need to remember to take a quick photo of the markers before I put them back in the case. It's much easier to post a picture of them than type them all. I'd better make my self a note or I'll forget again! Have a great day!

Good morning!

Someone has been very happy that the sun finally decided to shine! I'm sad to say that I ditched the cleaning efforts in the house and spent some time out in the sunshine. We finally have spring/summer like weather here in Minnesota. Only in Minnesota can you go from snow to rain to beautiful sunny weather in a week. Maybe after I get myself a nice tan I will go back and finish the cleaning in the scrappy room and post some pictures. Enjoy your day!

Good Morning!

Nothing crafty going on here today. I'm cleaning, organizing, and labeling! The OCD has kicked into hyper-drive! It's probably a good thing. I know there is a big scrap and stamp event going on down at the State Fair Grounds this weekend. It's best that I stay away. I really don't "need" anything else. Hope you have a great weekend! Hopefully I will have pictures of my scrappy area on Monday when it is all tidy!

Holy Cow!

Another cute one from Whipper Snapper! Colored with 100, C5, C3, W3, W1, Y38, and R20 Copics. A little Stickles on the wings and halo. I used the airbrush with Y11 to create the yellow glow around the image. My control with it leaves a little to be desired so I had to take the colorless blender and erase my over spray on the cow. It's all a learning lesson for me! The paper is from the Farm Fresh line by October Afternoon. Have a great day!

Mother's Day Card

This is the card I gave my Mom last year for Mother's Day. It had to cover 2 holidays since I was a bad daughter and didn't send her and Easter card. Shame on me! On the front of the card I used a stamp by Unity, Stampendous, and I'm not sure who made the "see the flowers smiling" one. I think I would have to do some digging to find it again. I haven't reorganized the stamps yet. I'm that is coming soon! The paper is by Basic Grey and I didn't have flowers in the colors I wanted so I Glimmer Misted them and added a gem in the center. The flowers from the stamp are colored with Smooch Inks.
The inside of the card are the Easter stamps I bought and intended on using for Mom's Easter card. They are the Hairy Bunny and Carrot by Judith. Colored with E50, E33, E35, E37, YG07, and YG63 Copics. I cut the carrots out and used pop dots behind them. Then sentiment is from a clear set by Stampendous. Have a great day!
